2013: A big year for the Cameroon project

A belated “Happy New Year” to our readers from the Cameroon team! This is going to be a really busy year for us since we’re gearing up for our first assessment trip coming up very quickly in March. The Water team has been assembling water testing kits and water testing instructions to be left behind with the community while the Health and Education teams have been preparing health survey and education materials for the trip. The Fundraising team has been busy applying for grants, planning an EWB film festival, and planning future fundraising events.

The activities really kick off this weekend, when we’ll be doing an all-day training exercise for the travelers. All the team members will be trained on using GPS devices to perform site surveys as well as how to interview community members for the health focus groups we’ll be holding.

Our awesome in-country Peace Corps Volunteer, Jen, has also visited Mbohkop and sent back a lot of great information and photographs:
